Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2020 Bonhams in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Day Dreams by Bessie Potter Vonnoh. Here, the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 62,575.00 (€ 53,146.76). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bessie Potter Vonnoh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Water Nymph': A Fountain, which sold at auction in December 2002 for USD 147,000.00 (€ 140,200.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Day Dreams von Bessie Potter Vonnoh zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 62.575,00 (€ 53.146,76) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Bessie Potter Vonnoh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Water Nymph': A Fountain beobachtet, die im Dezember 2002 für USD 147.000,00 (€ 140.200,29) versteigert wurde.
