In May this year Bonhams in Marlborough, Massachusetts held the auction American Art | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work Bedtime by Bessie Potter Vonnoh. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,802.14), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bessie Potter Vonnoh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Water Nymph': A Fountain in December 2002 with an auction result of USD 147,000.00 (€ 140,200.29).

Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Marlborough, Massachusetts die Auktion American Art | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bedtime von Bessie Potter Vonnoh zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.920,00 (€ 1.802,14) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bessie Potter Vonnoh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Water Nymph': A Fountain im Dezember 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 147.000,00 (€ 140.200,29).
