The price achieved of USD 28,125.00 (€ 21,260.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bessie Potter Vonnoh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Water Nymph': A Fountain in December 2002 with an auction result of USD 147,000.00 (€ 140,200.29).
