Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life With An Oriental Vase by Bessie MacNicol was sold in the Scottish Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in May 2008. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,180.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bessie MacNicol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vanity in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 38,900.00 (€ 49,482.50).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.180,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden.
