Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2009 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Australian Guéthary by Bessie Davidson. The price achieved of AUD 14,400.00 (€ 8,780.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bessie Davidson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Still Life With Fruit And Flowers in November 2008 with an auction result of AUD 74,400.00 (€ 38,366.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2009 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian Guéthary von Bessie Davidson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 14.400,00 (€ 8.780,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bessie Davidson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian Still Life With Fruit And Flowers im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 74.400,00 (€ 38.366,35).
