Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cocktails for Three by Beryl Cook was sold in the Blazing a TrailModern British Women auction at Bonhams in London in September this year. The price achieved of GBP 12,800.00 (€ 12,800.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Beryl Cook - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Red Umbrella, which sold at auction in September last year for GBP 38,100.00 (€ 43,361.48).
