Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Two compositions by Bertrand Dorny was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in November this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 1,850.00 (€ 248.13). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bertrand Dorny achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in October 2010 with an auction result of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,598.68).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Two compositions von Bertrand Dorny im November diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 1.850,00 (€ 248,13) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bertrand Dorny erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.598,68).
