Auction result well in line with expectations
In August this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction American Art Online, which included the work The Lost Boys by Bernice Johnson Sims. The price achieved of USD 960.00 (€ 885.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bernice Johnson Sims - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work JOES STRWBERRY, which sold at auction in August this year for USD 2,048.00 (€ 1,889.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion American Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Lost Boys von Bernice Johnson Sims zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 960,00 (€ 885,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Bernice Johnson Sims mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit JOES STRWBERRY beobachtet, die im August diesen Jahres für USD 2.048,00 (€ 1.889,47) versteigert wurde.
