Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Bernardo Hay could be acquired at Sothebys in Milan in June 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century Paintings and Sculpture auction, the work Taormina, Sosta Lungo La Via changed hands for EUR 3,750.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bernardo Hay - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fishermen off Capri, which sold at auction in October 2000 for GBP 6,462.50 (€ 11,046.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bernardo Hay konnte im Juni 2008 bei Sothebys in Mailand für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 19th Century Paintings and Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit Taormina, Sosta Lungo La Via für EUR 3.750,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bernardo Hay mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fishermen off Capri beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für GBP 6.462,50 (€ 11.046,26) versteigert wurde.
