The work Rome, A View Of The Campidoglio by Bernardo Canal was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2020. The price achieved of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 55,771.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bernardo Canal - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Venice, A View Of The Entrance To The Grand Canal With The Bacino Di San Marco, which sold at auction in January 2013 for USD 266,500.00 (€ 196,186.69).

Die Arbeit Rome, A View Of The Campidoglio von Bernardo Canal kam im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 55.771,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Bernardo Canal mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Venice, A View Of The Entrance To The Grand Canal With The Bacino Di San Marco beobachtet, die im Januar 2013 für USD 266.500,00 (€ 196.186,69) versteigert wurde.
