Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Chiswick Mall, Yellow Pub; Ken Bridge From The Strand On The Green; Strand On The Green, Low Tide; Old Mall Houses, Strand Green by Bernard Sickert for GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,301.33). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century British and Irish Art at Sothebys in Olympia and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bernard Sickert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Regatta, Le Croisic, which sold at auction in February 2009 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,355.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Chiswick Mall, Yellow Pub; Ken Bridge From The Strand On The Green; Strand On The Green, Low Tide; Old Mall Houses, Strand Green von Bernard Sickert für GBP 1.560,00 (€ 2.301,33) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century British and Irish Art bei Sothebys in Olympia erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bernard Sickert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Regatta, Le Croisic beobachtet, die im Februar 2009 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.355,47) versteigert wurde.
