Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work Bingen, on the Rhine; and Boats coming home, Les Croisie; and Misty sunset, Concarneau by Bernard Sickert. The price achieved of GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,959.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bernard Sickert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Regatta, Le Croisic, which sold at auction in February 2009 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,355.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bingen, on the Rhine; and Boats coming home, Les Croisie; and Misty sunset, Concarneau von Bernard Sickert zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.959,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Bernard Sickert mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Regatta, Le Croisic beobachtet, die im Februar 2009 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.355,47) versteigert wurde.
