It achieved a price of USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,400.34), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Bernard Langlais; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Honkey Tonkey sold at auction in April 2010 with the realized price of USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,503.53).
