Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Archduchess Maria Beatrice d'Este, Duchess of Massa and Princess of Carrara (1750-1829), in white dress with ruffled collar, jem set shoulder clasp and belt, red cashmere stole draped around her shoulders, gauze turban in her upswept and curled fair by Bernhard von Guérard was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2005. The auction ended at the price of GBP 600.00 (€ 888.09), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernhard von Guérard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Maria Ludovika, Archduchess Of Austria-Este, Empresses Of Austria (1787-1816), Circa 1808 in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 38,411.20).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Archduchess Maria Beatrice d'Este, Duchess of Massa and Princess of Carrara (1750-1829), in white dress with ruffled collar, jem set shoulder clasp and belt, red cashmere stole draped around her shoulders, gauze turban in her upswept and curled fair von Bernhard von Guérard kam im April 2005 bei Christies in London zur Auktion.
