Auction result well in line with expectations

In May 2005 Christies in London held the auction British Prints 1850-2004, which included the work Small Square by Berenice Sydney. The price achieved of GBP 264.00 (€ 389.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Berenice Sydney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orbiting in March 2013 with an auction result of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,223.72).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Mai 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British Prints 1850-2004 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Small Square von Berenice Sydney zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 264,00 (€ 389,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Berenice Sydney erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orbiting im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.223,72).
