Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2014 Christies in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Leaves Orbiting by Berenice Sydney. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 4,183.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Berenice Sydney have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2013 the work Orbiting was auctioned for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,223.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Leaves Orbiting von Berenice Sydney zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 4.183,83) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Berenice Sydney konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im März 2013 die Arbeit Orbiting für GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.223,72) versteigert.
