The work Flower study by Bennett Oates was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2011. The auction ended at the price of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,262.99), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bennett Oates - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Parrott tulips with flowers, which sold at auction in March 2008 for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,281.24).

Die Arbeit Flower study von Bennett Oates kam im März 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.262,99) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bennett Oates mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Parrott tulips with flowers beobachtet, die im März 2008 für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.281,24) versteigert wurde.
