Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2006 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs, which included the work Over The Ditch by Benjamin Herring. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 216.00 (€ 312.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Benjamin Herring achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Happy Family in December 2004 with an auction result of USD 26,290.00 (€ 19,419.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Over The Ditch von Benjamin Herring zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 216,00 (€ 312,55) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Benjamin Herring erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Happy Family im Dezember 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 26.290,00 (€ 19.419,41).
