In January 2010 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings, & Watercolors, which included the work A Lop-Eared Doe Rabbit and her Young by Benjamin Herring. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,209.81), 43% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Benjamin Herring - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Happy Family, which sold at auction in December 2004 for USD 26,290.00 (€ 19,419.41).

Im Januar 2010 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings, & Watercolors durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Lop-Eared Doe Rabbit and her Young von Benjamin Herring zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.209,81) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Benjamin Herring mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Happy Family beobachtet, die im Dezember 2004 für USD 26.290,00 (€ 19.419,41) versteigert wurde.
