Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California and Western Art40th Anniversary Auction, which included the work Wildflowers in an extensive landscape by Benjamin Chambers Brown. The price achieved of USD 11,325.00 (€ 9,723.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Benjamin Chambers Brown have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Poppy Fields Near Pasadena in August 2019 with an auction result of USD 60,075.00 (€ 54,668.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California and Western Art40th Anniversary Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wildflowers in an extensive landscape von Benjamin Chambers Brown zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.325,00 (€ 9.723,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Benjamin Chambers Brown auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Poppy Fields Near Pasadena im August 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.075,00 (€ 54.668,30).
