In May 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work The Bridge at Boca (also known as Puente en La Boca) by Benito Quinquela Martín. The price achieved of USD 339,750.00 (€ 261,587.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Other works by Benito Quinquela Martín have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2008 the work El Puerto De Buenos Aires was auctioned for USD 421,000.00 (€ 270,565.55).
