The auction ended at the price of USD 40,000.00 (€ 37,814.33), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Benito Quinquela Martín have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work El Puerto De Buenos Aires in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 421,000.00 (€ 270,565.55).
