Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The pirates of Penzance, Minack Theatre Cornwall by Ben Tobias was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. The price achieved of GBP 637.50 (€ 726.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Admittedly, works by Ben Tobias have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rabbis Frumahs By The Sea, No.31 in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,920.48).

Die Arbeit The pirates of Penzance, Minack Theatre Cornwall von Ben Tobias kam im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 637,50 (€ 726,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ben Tobias auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rabbis Frumahs By The Sea, No.31 im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.640,00 (€ 3.920,48).
