In August 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures, which included the work Figures on the beach, Trouville by Ben Tobias. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,951.31), 65% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ben Tobias - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rabbis Frumahs By The Sea, No.31, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,920.48).

Im August 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figures on the beach, Trouville von Ben Tobias zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.951,31) und damit 65% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Ben Tobias mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rabbis Frumahs By The Sea, No.31 beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 2.640,00 (€ 3.920,48) versteigert wurde.
