A top price for Ben Levene - as previously expected
The work Still Life With Begonia by Ben Levene was sold in the 20th Century British and Irish Art auction at Sothebys in Olympia in September 2006. It changed hands for a price of GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,956.71) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Still Life With Begonia is the most expensive artwork by Ben Levene that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Still Life With Begonia von Ben Levene wurde im September 2006 in der Auktion 20th Century British and Irish Art bei Sothebys in Olympia versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.956,71) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Still Life With Begonia das teuerste Kunstwerk von Ben Levene, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
