This artwork by Ben Levene achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in July 2021. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Pink Azalea sold for GBP 2,167.50 (€ 2,541.84) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ben Levene; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Still Life With Begonia sold at auction in September 2006 with the realized price of GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,956.71).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ben Levene erzielte im Juli 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Pink Azalea für GBP 2.167,50 (€ 2.541,84) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ben Levene; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Still Life With Begonia im September 2006 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.956,71).
