Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Belkis Ayón achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in February this year. In the Modern & Contemporary Cuban Art auction, the work without title sold for USD 6,120.00 (€ 5,772.50) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Belkis Ayón achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Desobediencia in September last year with an auction result of USD 214,200.00 (€ 218,951.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Belkis Ayón erzielte im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Cuban Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 6.120,00 (€ 5.772,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Belkis Ayón erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Desobediencia im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 214.200,00 (€ 218.951,24).
