A top price for Beatrice Campbell - as previously expected
In September 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work The Intruder by Beatrice Campbell. The price achieved of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 53,348.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Intruder is the most expensive artwork by Beatrice Campbell that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im September 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Intruder von Beatrice Campbell zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 53.348,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Intruder das teuerste Kunstwerk von Beatrice Campbell, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
