Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Odds and Evens by Basil Beattie was sold in the Modern/British Art Online auction at Christies in London in November 2017. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,973.02), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Basil Beattie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bound Up, which sold at auction in September 2017 for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,054.20).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Odds and Evens von Basil Beattie wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Modern/British Art Online bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 3.973,02) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Basil Beattie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bound Up beobachtet, die im September 2017 für GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.054,20) versteigert wurde.
