Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art, which included this untitled work by Bashir Mirza. The price achieved of GBP 3,570.00 (€ 4,199.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bashir Mirza achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lonely Girl in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 65,250.00 (€ 77,303.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Bashir Mirza zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.570,00 (€ 4.199,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bashir Mirza erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lonely Girl im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 65.250,00 (€ 77.303,63).
