Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Marble Ass by Bas Meerman was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Bas Meerman have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2011 the work without title was auctioned for EUR 5,625.00.

Die Arbeit Marble Ass von Bas Meerman wurde im Juni 2010 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Bas Meerman konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2011 die Arbeit ohne Titel für EUR 5.625,00 versteigert.
