Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings, which included the work The Madonna And Child, Seated Behind A Ledge, A River Landscape And A Town Beyond by Bartolomeo Veneto. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 55,000.00 (€ 49,393.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bartolomeo Veneto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Madonna And Child in January 2013 with an auction result of USD 962,500.00 (€ 708,554.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Madonna And Child, Seated Behind A Ledge, A River Landscape And A Town Beyond von Bartolomeo Veneto zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 55.000,00 (€ 49.393,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bartolomeo Veneto erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Madonna And Child im Januar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 962.500,00 (€ 708.554,18).
