The work Madonna And Child by Bartolomeo Veneto was sold in the Renaissance auction at Christies in New York in January 2013. The price achieved of USD 962,500.00 (€ 708,554.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Madonna And Child is the most expensive artwork by Bartolomeo Veneto that we have observed at auctions so far.
