Auction result misses estimated price range
In January last year a collector was able to acquire the work The Penitent Magdalene in meditation with two angels by Bartolomeo Schedoni for USD 69,300.00 (€ 61,808.78). This price was achieved in the auction Master to Master: The Nelson Shanks Collection at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bartolomeo Schedoni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Saint John The Baptist In A Landscape in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 1,805,000.00 (€ 1,337,037.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Penitent Magdalene in meditation with two angels von Bartolomeo Schedoni für USD 69.300,00 (€ 61.808,78) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Master to Master: The Nelson Shanks Collection bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bartolomeo Schedoni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Saint John The Baptist In A Landscape im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.805.000,00 (€ 1.337.037,04).
