In January 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work Study of a male nude (recto); Partial study of a male nude holding a sickle (verso) by Baccio Bandinelli. The »bidding war« ended at USD 15,600.00 (€ 12,001.85), 30% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Baccio Bandinelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Colossal Bust Of An Ancient Hero in July 2009 with an auction result of GBP 657,250.00 (€ 745,781.74).

Im Januar 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study of a male nude (recto); Partial study of a male nude holding a sickle (verso) von Baccio Bandinelli zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 15.600,00 (€ 12.001,85) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Baccio Bandinelli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Colossal Bust Of An Ancient Hero im Juli 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 657.250,00 (€ 745.781,74).
