This artwork by Bartholomäus Spranger achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2015. In the Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale auction, the work The Triumph Of Venus sold for GBP 362,500.00 (€ 492,257.57) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bartholomäus Spranger have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mercury Carrying Psyche To Mount Olympus in December 2017 with an auction result of GBP 3,368,750.00 (€ 3,791,034.67).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Bartholomäus Spranger erzielte im Dezember 2015 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit The Triumph Of Venus für GBP 362.500,00 (€ 492.257,57) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bartholomäus Spranger auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mercury Carrying Psyche To Mount Olympus im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.368.750,00 (€ 3.791.034,67).
