In December 2011 Christies in London held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Battle of Eighteen Nude Men (Bartsch 16; Pauli 25) by Barthel Beham. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,197.64) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Barthel Beham achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Ludwig X, Duke Of Bavaria in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 317,000.00 (€ 376,664.58).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Battle of Eighteen Nude Men (Bartsch 16; Pauli 25) von Barthel Beham zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.197,64) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Barthel Beham erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Ludwig X, Duke Of Bavaria im Juli 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 317.000,00 (€ 376.664,58).
