Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Elk Meets Sweeney (Small Version) by Barrie Cooke for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 11,364.85). This price was achieved in the auction Irish Art at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Barrie Cooke have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2018 by the work Long Nude at GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,846.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Elk Meets Sweeney (Small Version) von Barrie Cooke für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 11.364,85) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Irish Art bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Barrie Cooke wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im September 2018 die Arbeit Long Nude mit GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.846,93).
