Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Denon et deux jeune femmes by Dominique-Vivant Denon was sold in the Old Master Prints auction at Christies in London in December 2019. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,181.88) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Dominique-Vivant Denon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of Maria Theresa Of Naples And Sicily (1772-1807) As A Young Girl in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,911.62).

Die Arbeit Denon et deux jeune femmes von Dominique-Vivant Denon wurde im Dezember 2019 in der Auktion Old Master Prints bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.181,88) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dominique-Vivant Denon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of Maria Theresa Of Naples And Sicily (1772-1807) As A Young Girl im Juli 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.911,62).
