Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2005 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work Peasants outside an inn preparing pigs for market by Barent Gael. The price achieved of GBP 4,800.00 (€ 7,104.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Barent Gael have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Travellers at a blacksmith's in November 2000 with an auction result of NLG 117,020.00 (€ 54,822.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Peasants outside an inn preparing pigs for market von Barent Gael zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.800,00 (€ 7.104,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Barent Gael auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Travellers at a blacksmith's im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 117.020,00 (€ 54.822,00).
