In July 2006 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work A Rocky Landscape With Travellers At A Forge; And A Wooded Landscape With Horsemen Halting At An Inn by Barent Gael. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 22,800.00 (€ 33,376.53), 52% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Barent Gael; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Travellers at a blacksmith's sold at auction in November 2000 with the realized price of NLG 117,020.00 (€ 54,822.00).

Im Juli 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Rocky Landscape With Travellers At A Forge; And A Wooded Landscape With Horsemen Halting At An Inn von Barent Gael zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 22.800,00 (€ 33.376,53) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Barent Gael; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Travellers at a blacksmith's im November 2000 mit dem Hammerpreis von NLG 117.020,00 (€ 54.822,00).
