Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Peacock, 1953 by Bao Shaoyou was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in September 2021. The price achieved of USD 8,925.00 (€ 7,709.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bao Shaoyou - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Peacock By Spring Blossoms, which sold at auction in October 2015 for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,905.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Peacock, 1953 von Bao Shaoyou kam im September 2021 bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.925,00 (€ 7.709,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Bao Shaoyou mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Peacock By Spring Blossoms beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.905,00) versteigert wurde.
