Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spider by Bao Shaoyou was sold in the Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in February 2021. The price achieved of HKD 20,000.00 (€ 2,131.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bao Shaoyou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Peacock By Spring Blossoms in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,905.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Spider von Bao Shaoyou wurde im Februar 2021 in der Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 20.000,00 (€ 2.131,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bao Shaoyou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Peacock By Spring Blossoms im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.905,00).
