Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings, which included the work Ruins of St. Paul's by Bao Shaoyou. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,232.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Bao Shaoyou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Peacock By Spring Blossoms in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,905.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ruins of St. Paul's von Bao Shaoyou zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.232,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bao Shaoyou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Peacock By Spring Blossoms im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.905,00).
