The work Plantain and Spider under Moonlight by Bao Shaoyou was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2018. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,759.65), 38% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bao Shaoyou - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Peacock By Spring Blossoms, which sold at auction in October 2015 for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,905.00).

Die Arbeit Plantain and Spider under Moonlight von Bao Shaoyou wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.759,65) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Bao Shaoyou mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Peacock By Spring Blossoms beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.905,00) versteigert wurde.
