Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Sound Of The Qin In The Pine Winds, After Shen Zhou by Bao Dong was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,500.00 (€ 2,624.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bao Dong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Album Of Landscape And Figures in April this year with an auction result of HKD 156,000.00 (€ 159,306.52).

Die Arbeit The Sound Of The Qin In The Pine Winds, After Shen Zhou von Bao Dong kam im März 2012 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.500,00 (€ 2.624,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bao Dong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Album Of Landscape And Figures im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 156.000,00 (€ 159.306,52).
