Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Lofty Scholar By A Stream, After Zhao Qi Of The Yuan Dynasty by Bao Dong for USD 4,000.00 (€ 2,999.85). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bao Dong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Album Of Landscape And Figures in April this year with an auction result of HKD 156,000.00 (€ 159,306.52).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Lofty Scholar By A Stream, After Zhao Qi Of The Yuan Dynasty von Bao Dong für USD 4.000,00 (€ 2.999,85) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bao Dong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Album Of Landscape And Figures im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 156.000,00 (€ 159.306,52).
