Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Head study of an old man by Balthasar Denner was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2007. The price achieved of USD 5,760.00 (€ 4,216.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Balthasar Denner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of an old man in a fur-trimmed coat in June 2015 with an auction result of EUR 49,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Head study of an old man von Balthasar Denner kam im April 2007 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.760,00 (€ 4.216,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Balthasar Denner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of an old man in a fur-trimmed coat im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 49.500,00.
