Auction result misses estimated price range
In April this year a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait of a gentleman by Balthasar Denner for DKK 6,000.00 (€ 804.89). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, furniture and varia at Bruun Rasmussen and was even below the estimate range of DKK 8,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Balthasar Denner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of an old man in a fur-trimmed coat in June 2015 with an auction result of EUR 49,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman von Balthasar Denner für DKK 6.000,00 (€ 804,89) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von DKK 8.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Balthasar Denner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of an old man in a fur-trimmed coat im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 49.500,00.
