Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Man In A Red Beret by Balthasar Denner was sold in the Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2007. It changed hands for a price of USD 14,400.00 (€ 11,078.63) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 12,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Balthasar Denner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of an old man in a fur-trimmed coat in June 2015 with an auction result of EUR 49,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Man In A Red Beret von Balthasar Denner wurde im Januar 2007 in der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 14.400,00 (€ 11.078,63) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Balthasar Denner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of an old man in a fur-trimmed coat im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 49.500,00.
